Overview
Required
This is a refreshing plunge near Mt Hood! Enter the Wildwood Recreation area and pay for parking. Drive straight until you can take a left turn. Follow that turn to the parking lot/trailhead.
The trail is by the bathrooms. Walk the trail until you see a wooden bridge. From the bridge, there are two options to get down to the water:
Option #1 Cross the bridge and walk down the wooden stairs on your left. You will see a wooden bench near the base of the stairs. You can access the shore from here. Watch for exposed roots/unstable terrain. This section of the river flows moderately fast.
Option #2 This is a scramble! Follow a small game trail on the right-hand side of the bridge. The trail will lead you underneath the bridge (crossing from right to left). You will see the river as you walk through some light brush and large boulders to get to the shore. The water is calmer on this side of the river.

Cautions
Water moccasins or sandals recommended - the riverbed is rocky! Watch for roots and boulders as you walk down to the edge of the water. The water speed is moderate in some sections, so be sure to pick a spot that isn’t too deep or fast flowing.
